Each state has different rules surrounding sports betting. Therefore, you will never find the same selection of sports betting sites in two different states. 1. DraftKings
Many consider DraftKings to be the best sports betting site available in the USA. That’s because it offers a variety of services, each fully equipped for all your gambling needs. If you are looking for fantasy sports, the service at DraftKings is the most popular in America. They have a variety of contests for players to enjoy, plus an exciting reward system to help you while you play. DraftKings also offers an excellent sportsbook, full of sports from across the globe. The excitement does not stop there, as some states have access to a brilliant online casino. They are consistently expanding the casino, adding new slots, table games, and live games.
If you are looking for more, DraftKings does not disappoint. They have a marketplace for players to collect sports-related NFTs. If you are new to the wonderful world of cryptocurrency, then NFTs are the perfect entry point. Plus, the DraftKings marketplace is very beginner friendly, allowing you to sample crypto without having to learn the complex fundamentals. Overall, there are many reasons DraftKings is at the top of the sports betting world. Not only does it offer a complete and excellent service, but it is constantly expanding and innovating the sports betting sphere in America.

2. FanDuel
If DraftKings is the best online sports betting site, then FanDuel is a worthy second. For those of you who don’t know, FanDuel is DraftKings’ biggest daily fantasy sports rival. They both offer an exciting and complete fantasy service, yet FanDuel is certainly more beginner friendly. If you want to see how the two services compare, then check out our FanDuel review.
Besides fantasy sports, both services offer a high-quality sportsbook. The sportsbook at FanDuel is better equipped for promotions, especially in the buildup of significant sporting events. Surrounding the run-up to the NBA Finals or Stanley Cup Finals, players could use a variety of promos during the playoffs. There were similar promotions in the run-up to the Super Bowl, plus the start of any new season saw fresh promos enter the sportsbook. The live betting service at FanDuel is also excellent. They offer live streams for certain sporting events or a detailed 3D graphic illustrating gameplay as it transpires. DraftKings might be more popular, but you are not missing out if you join FanDuel.

3. BetMGM
BetMGM is one of our favorite sportsbooks for several reasons. It has an outstanding online casino, plus it’s one of the best sports betting sites for promotions. The promotions at BetMGM are constantly changing, but they regularly introduce risk-free bets, free bets, and even parlay boosts to increase your profits. If you are more interested in casino games, BetMGM has by far the largest library. Currently, the casino has over 2,500 slots available. That does not include any of the table games or live games. Some states have exclusive access to themed games. If you play in New Jersey, there are multiple New York Jets-themed casino games, some of which include a promotion for the sportsbook. If you play from Pennsylvania, you can enjoy Steelers-themed games instead.
Looking at the sportsbook, BetMGM is as well-equipped as FanDuel and DraftKings. You can bet on all the same major sports at BetMGM, plus they offer a variety of leagues, including college football. If you are wondering what this sportsbook has that the others don’t, the answer is poker. BetMGM offers excellent online poker games where you can take on other players. If you are not a fan of fantasy sports but value your casino games, then BetMGM is your best option. Also, it has an excellent reward system tailored to giving back to faithful players.

4. BetRivers
If you are looking for an alternative to the sportsbooks listed above, BetRivers is a fantastic option. It is widely available across America, currently operating in 15 different states. SugarHouse is owned and operated by the same company responsible for BetRivers, and they are presently working on a merger. The two services are identical anyway, so it does not matter which one you join.
BetRivers is a fantastic sportsbook for countless reasons. It is one of the largest sportsbooks, meaning there are lots of sports to bet on from around the world. It is also one of the best sports betting sites for promotions, with bonuses available to all players every week. Plus, it has an excellent loyalty program for players to claim rewards for the sportsbook or casino. Speaking of the casino, BetRivers has one of the biggest services on our list with over 1,300 games.

5. Caesars
Another great sports betting site with a casino is Caesars Sportsbook. It has promotions, much like BetMGM, regularly giving players something to enjoy. The promos can include ticket giveaways to NHL, NFL, or NBA games, plus profit boosts for NHL games. Caesars also offers players deposit matches for casino games, giving you more funds to play with.
The sportsbook at Caesars is smaller than some of the competition. It has a smaller number of sorts to bet on, but it makes up for it by introducing a fantastic range of wagers. You can bet on multiple parts of each sport, including individual player performances. Plus, they have dedicated sections to help you build a same game parlay. Caesars has an exceptional live betting service with incredible graphics representing the game as it’s underway. They also provide you with detailed statistics about the current match and each team’s previous performance. You can also find a timeline that explains all the major events during the live game, plus standings to show where each team sits in the division. You will struggle to find a better sportsbook for live betting than Caesars.

6. Betway
Betway is more established in Europe and South Africa than in the United States, but that is slowly changing. Betway is opening its operations in more U.S. states this year and has plans for further expansion soon. What makes Betway stand out is the number of promotions available. You can get free bets when a team scores a touchdown on select football games or a free bet for betting on the NHL. They also have parlay boosts for NFL and NCAAF parlays, plus up to a 40% parlay boost on soccer parlays.
The casino at Betway is only available in a couple of U.S. states, but it has expanded recently. They are adding to the casino, increasing its offerings to over 300 casino games. It has an excellent selection of table games and a variety of live games if you enjoy games like blackjack. The European Betway has an enormous casino, so you can expect the American version to follow suit. They also offer eSports and virtual sports betting in the EU, another feature that may make its way over to the USA. It might still be too early to recommend Betway to America, but it is an up-and-comer.

7. Barstool
The Barstool Sportsbook is another that is widely available across America. Currently, there are 14 states with access to the Barstool Sportsbook. It is a popular choice for sports betting because of how easy the service is to use for beginners. Whether you are looking at the sportsbook or online casino, both have lots of features to make your daily activities more enjoyable.
The sportsbook makes it straightforward to find the wagers you want. Plus, they have useful features like a slider to adjust the size of a spread bet. They also provide an enormous variety of wagers for live betting. The casino has several excellent features, including a helpful display. You can see the names of each game in plain text, plus the minimum and maximum bets before you click on anything. The casino also has exclusive games created by Barstool, including slots and a wide selection of live casino games. Overall, Barstool is a great sportsbook and online casino, but it cannot compete with the likes of DraftKings.
- Read our full Barstool review.
8. PointsBet
PointsBet is an online sportsbook with a small casino. They had fewer than 100 slots last time we checked, and that’s with many fresh additions over the past few weeks. The sportsbook has a much better selection, with around 20 sports to bet on. They have all the classics, including baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. Plus, they have sports like MMA, golf, and tennis. Live betting at PointsBet is one of its biggest strengths. Like the other sportsbooks mentioned above, it has an excellent live tracker to watch along with sporting events. Plus, you can find detailed information about the game and the teams playing.
PointsBet is not as rewarding with promotions when compared to sportsbooks like Betway. They rarely give out free bets or risk-free bets. Instead, you need to collect rewards points and redeem them for free bets. However, PointsBet has some unique features you won’t find anywhere else. Including PointsBetting, where you can win more depending on how correct your prediction is. Plus, they offer partial cash out on select wagers, meaning you can take out your stake and wait to see if you can earn more profit.
- Read our full PointsBet review.
9. WynnBET
For anyone looking for a more simplistic sportsbook, WynnBET is perfect for you. Rather than having over 20 sports from around the world that you have no interest in betting on, WynnBET has just the essentials. With around 11 sports to consider, it is a much smaller sportsbook for those only looking to bet on the big sports.
The promotions at WynnBET are often excellent. They introduce new and exciting bonuses for all players almost every week. That means there are several ways to get free bets without using the reward system. The loyalty program at WynnBET is another one of its strengths, as it’s a reliable way to receive free bets. If you live in a state with casino game support, you can choose between casino bonus funds or sportsbook free bets when redeeming your points.
- Read our full WynnBET review.
10. FOX Bet
FOX Bet is another popular online sportsbook available in a handful of states. You can only sign up for FOX Bet if you live in Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Michigan. If you live outside of these four states, you can download the FOX Bet Super 6 app. The app is your chance to win real money by accurately predicting the score of six games.
Looking at FOX Bet New Jersey, there are a lot of positives to consider. Not only can you enjoy a sportsbook, but there is a casino and online poker service too. The sportsbook has a wonderful variety to bet on, with a bigger library than WynnBET but smaller than DraftKings. The casino is equally well-equipped with just under 400 slots to choose from and a fantastic collection of other games. If that’s not enough to convince you, there are plenty of promotions at the casino, including a welcome bonus where you bet $1 on the casino and enjoy $100 free.
- Read our full FOX Bet review.
11. Unibet
Unibet is a surprise package when looking for a new sportsbook to join. It’s not as widely available as some of the other sportsbooks we mentioned above, as Unibet only has a license to operate in five states. However, depending on the state you are in, Unibet is a fantastic option.
Unibet Pennsylvania had over 24 contests available for players to bet on, including a superb mix of exciting sports. They had all the big sports plus events like floorball, darts, and netball. The casino was on the smaller side, with around 240 slots, but they were adding new games almost weekly. Unibet also has some exclusive games for certain states, such as the Philadelphia Eagles Online Slot. If slots are important to you, Unibet has all the games you would expect to see. However, it is a smaller library compared to rival sportsbooks.
- Read our full Unibet review.
12. Bet365
Another excellent online sportsbook that is growing in size is Bet365. It is now available in three states, New Jersey, Colorado, and Ohio, with more expansion planned in the future. The sportsbook deserves a lot of credit for having a comprehensive collection of sports to bet on. In New Jersey, there were over 25 sports to bet on, including virtual sports, esports, and lacrosse. The sportsbook is also full of promotions, including parlay boosts, free bets, and early payout offers.
The casino is small with around 100 games to choose from. However, given how new the service is to the States, it might expand quite a lot over the next few months. The casino has your usual slots, table games, and some live tables, but that’s not all it offers. There is a section for instant win games, including a couple of scratchcards. Plus, the casino has a bunch of original games exclusive to Bet365. There are many good sportsbooks and casinos on our list, but Bet365 could be one to watch out for.
- Read our full Bet365 review.
13. Betfred
Betfred is a sportsbook also looking to expand across America. Now, you can download the Betfred mobile sportsbook in five states, but there are seven Betfred retail locations across America. Plus, the Betfred Sportsbook at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is opening soon, bringing the total up to eight. The states you can download the Betfred Sportsbook to your smartphone include Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. It may only be a matter of time before you can do the same in Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, and Maryland.
14. Bally Bet
Bally Bet is now available in six states. They include Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, New York, and Virginia. Like many other sportsbooks, there is a reward system where you can earn bonus funds towards prizes or use them to play casino games and make sports bets. The sportsbook offers live streaming, so you can watch the action and bet while it takes place.
Bally Bet is another sports betting site with a more condensed selection of sports to bet on. With around 12 sports depending on which state you play in. Out of the six states Bally Bet operates in, three are exclusive to mobile devices. New York, Indiana, and Arizona require a mobile app, whereas the other three allow bets from your PC as well. Bally Bet is not the best sportsbook on our list, but it offers a brilliant service.
15. TwinSpires
TwinSpires is accessible to players in Arizona or Pennsylvania. However, they have plans to expand into more states later this year. In Arizona, the sportsbook is incredibly well stocked with around 26 sports available to bet on. The Pennsylvania version of TwinSpires has fewer sports to bet on, but it comes with a casino. There are around 150 games at TwinSpires, making it a small casino compared to the names towards the top of the list. However, TwinSpires also offers patrons the chance to bet on horse racing.
16. Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget Casino and Sportsbook is available in four states, with more coming later this year. Residents of Arizona, Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia can enjoy the Golden Nugget sports betting service. Depending on what state you play from will affect how many casino games you have access to. Players from New Jersey can enjoy a humongous library of 1,258 games. But, players from Michigan only get around 150.
The sportsbook remains unchanged, with 11 sports to bet on in most states. However, Arizona is the best for sports betting as they have around 25 events to bet on. If you live in Arizona, you have access to a brilliant sports betting service. Or, if you are in New Jersey, you can enjoy an excellent online casino. If the Golden Nugget service was more consistent and widely available, it could give the big names a run for their money.
17. Hard Rock Sportsbook
If you are looking for a big name that is stepping up its online sportsbook, then Hard Rock could be the one for you. Currently, the Hard Rock Sportsbook is available in six states, including Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia. The sports betting site has confirmed it is planning to launch in Illinois and Ohio later this year.
The sportsbook itself is plain. It also has a condensed catalog of sports when compared to the competition. So far, it only has around eight sports for patrons to bet on. To compensate for the lack of variety, there are several exciting promotions for players to get their hands on. This includes a mystery welcome bonus of up to $5,000 and a free bet worth up to $1,000 when you refer a friend. The Hard Rock Sportsbook might not be as polished as others on our list, but it’s offering a lot of outstanding promotions you won’t find anywhere else.
18. SuperBook
The SuperBook Sportsbook is an exciting sports betting site with a lot to celebrate. It is another that has expanded a lot recently. So far, you can join SuperBook if you live in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, and Tennessee. Plus, there are plans to launch in Maryland and West Virginia later in 2023. The sportsbook only has 11 sports to consider, but SuperBook is consistent with promotions to help you through an average week.
19. Circa Sports
If you live in Nevada, Colorado, or Iowa, then you have access to Circa Sports. Plus, if you live in Illinois, Circa Sports is coming to you later this year. The sports betting site or app is on the smaller side, with around eight sports to bet on. They include all the most popular sports, like football, basketball, golf, hockey, baseball, soccer, tennis, and the UFC. If you are looking to bet on any of these sports and do not want a welcome bonus or promotion, then this is the sportsbook for you.
20. ELITE Sportsbook
There are only two states where you can access the ELITE Sportsbook, Colorado and Iowa. It is another that is on the smaller side with around 11 sports to bet on. The sportsbook differs from other small betting sites, as it regularly introduces a few promotions for players to enjoy. The welcome bonus includes a deposit match of up to $100 to use as a free bet. Plus, there are other promotions that allow you to get a $15 free bet.
21. PlayUp
The PlayUp Sportsbook is another with big expansion plans. Presently, PlayUp is accessible to players from New Jersey and Colorado. In the future, they will launch in three additional states, Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio. The sportsbook is marginally bigger than a lot of brands mentioned above, as there are 12 sports to bet on. There is only one promotion at PlayUp and it’s a $250 free bet for new players.
22. SI Sportsbook
SI Sportsbook, otherwise known as the Sports Illustrated Sportsbook, is a service for players in three states. Patrons in Colorado, Michigan, and Virginia can enjoy a new sports betting site full of exciting boosted bets. Depending on the state you play from, you could have access to 22 sports from across the globe. The sportsbook also offers players the chance to win a share of $10k every game week. All you have to do is predict ten spread bets.
23. SBK
The SBK Sportsbook is fairly new to America and is only available in two states. Residents of Indiana or Colorado can download a copy of the SBK app to their iOS or Android device completely free. The welcome bonus for new players includes $100 worth of free bets to anyone who bets $20 and is over the age of 21. Perhaps the biggest strength of SBK is the community aspect. This is where you can follow other players or celebrities for betting tips and picks for this week's games.
24. Tipico Sportsbook
One of the largest sports betting providers from Germany has made the jump to the United States. Tipico is now operational in Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, and New Jersey. Plus, there are plans for Tipico to launch in Indiana at some point this year.
The sports betting site has around 13 sports to bet on, including IndyCar, handball, and table tennis. There aren’t any promotions on the sportsbook besides the welcome bonus, but they have some fantastic breakdowns. These breakdowns act as game previews, giving you some detailed information before you bet on a game. If you are in New Jersey, you can experience the Tipico Casino, which has just fewer than 400 games, including 346 slots. Overall, you can see why Tipico was successful in Europe with this kind of service.
25. betParx
If you are looking for a sportsbook that has a lot of unique events to bet on, betParx is an excellent option. Depending on what state you are playing from, there could be over 25 exciting sports to consider. This includes sports like futsal, cyclo-cross, and handball. Plus, betParx also operates a casino with a good few hundred games to choose from.
26. Betly
Betly, or MVG Bet for those in Ohio, is a new sports betting service expanding across America. So far, Betly is available to residents of four states, Arkansas, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Depending on what state you are in, you could have access to 17 sports to bet on. The sportsbook is still finding its feet, but it could be a promising option in the future.
27. Borgata Online

How do we Rank Online Gambling Sites?
We here at Bet Station have spent a lot of time using each sportsbook mentioned in the list above. It is crucial that if we are going to recommend a sportsbook to you; we have tried and tested it ourselves. But what do we look for when we visit all these sports betting sites? There are many factors we look out for besides the obvious. Yes, we want a service that is widely available, consistent, and full of sports. However, we also want to find the services that are the easiest to use, support the most payment methods, and have outstanding customer service. Below is a breakdown of some of the most important aspects we look for when reviewing any sports betting site.
User Interface
Although the user interface sounds like jargon, it’s straightforward. We are looking for sites that are easy enough for anyone to use. Whether you have several years of experience with sports betting or this will be your first time, we only want to recommend the best-designed sportsbooks. This means we are looking at both the mobile app and the PC site.
The FanDuel mobile app was one of the best for navigation. Finding the sports you want or browsing the sports taking place in the next 24 hours was trouble-free. We could access everything from the main page without the need to go through any menus. We had a similar experience using Caesars Sportsbook, as it was wonderfully simple to jump from sport to sport, looking for the best bets.
Promotions
There seem to be two main types of sports betting sites. Ones that give out promotions regularly and ones that don’t. That does not mean to say if you joined a sportsbook like PointsBet, you will never see a promotion. It just means you won’t find a promotion during your average week of sport. Instead, these sportsbooks have a promo or two during significant events, like the World Cup, playoffs, or any major final.
We prefer the sportsbooks that hand out promotions regularly. That’s because if we are betting on this week’s games, and we can get a free bet or risk-free bet just for doing our normal wagers, then that’s nothing but a positive. Sure, you can get free bets from other sites by saving up reward points over time, but the best sports betting sites also have reward systems. BetMGM allows you to enjoy promotions and claim rewards points towards various prizes, such as bonus credits, free or discounted stays at hotels, and money off exclusive getaways.
Banking Options
We value payment options a lot when looking at the best sports betting sites. We want to see sportsbooks give as many people the chance to make a deposit. Whether you want to use a debit card, online banking, or write a good old-fashioned check, we want the sportsbook to accommodate everyone. The best sports betting sites give you multiple ways to deposit your funds, as well as a variety of methods to withdraw your cash.
We found that the sportsbooks that were the most widely available had the most payment methods. Caesars Sportsbook is legal in many states, and they have an enormous selection of payments to choose from. We can say the same for DraftKings and FanDuel. Both services are widely available across America, so they have a good range of payment methods.
Customer Service
While we wish every sportsbook offered a service that had no issues, sometimes unexpected events can happen. Whether a bonus fails to activate or a complication arises at withdrawal, sports betting sites can have problems. We want to test out the support systems in place just in case anything goes wrong.
It seems common practice for a sportsbook to offer multiple ways of getting in touch nowadays. You can reach out to a sports betting site via email, phone, or various social media avenues. That means you don’t need to kick and scream to be heard. One impressive support system was at BetRivers. We reached out via live chat and they transferred us to a real person in a matter of minutes. From there, we could discuss an issue and have it resolved within ten minutes of beginning the conversation. It was reassuring to know you can get in contact with a real person quickly, without having to check your email every day in the hope of a response.
Mobile Usability
Although we mentioned mobile apps above, there is something a little different between using a sportsbook on your touchscreen device. We want to find apps that worked consistently and made it as easy as possible to form bets. Sportsbooks like FanDuel are straightforward to browse and add bets to your bet slip. Plus, the bet slip stays with you while you scroll, so you can jump between sports and the wagers you selected quickly.
It is common for sportsbooks nowadays to offer cash outs on your bets. Having quick and responsive mobile apps will allow you to jump immediately to your bet and save it before it’s too late. PointsBet is useful for cashing out, as you can choose to save some of your stake and keep the bet alive. PointsBet is one of the few that allows you to partially cash out, settling any bet regret once and for all.
How to Choose the Best Betting Website
The most important aspect of choosing the best betting website is selecting the one that is right for you. First, you need to find the services legal in your state. Then, you can decide whether you want any additional services, like casino games or fantasy sports. After that, you need to consider if you want promotions and a rewards system.
License
Later on in our guide, we have a table with all the states detailing which have approved sports betting. This table will help you save time, as it will narrow your options down without having to read up about each service. Sportsbooks are expanding across state lines all the time. You may not have to wait long for the law to change in your state. If you are looking to join a particular sports betting site, like PointsBet, it may have plans to launch in your state later this year. To keep up to date with any changes, be sure to check out this page at a later date, or follow the sportsbook's social media account.
Markets
Once you know which sportsbooks you can sign up for, it’s important to see if they are right for you. It’s all very well that some sports betting sites allow you to bet on third-tier Spanish football or a Swedish handball game, but is that what you are signing up for? Make sure the sportsbook you join has all the sports you want before you join.
If you are going to stick to the classics, like the NFL, how will you know which one to join? If you want more detailed advice about the sportsbook, then you should check out any of our reviews. But if you want to avoid any reading, go to the sports betting site and look for a bet. Then go onto the rival sportsbook and see if the bet has the same odds. You want to find the best sportsbook that has the highest returns for your wager. If you can make an extra five or ten bucks by placing the same bet somewhere else, then you should do it.
Security
Security is a big deal in mobile sports betting. You only want to gamble at fully licensed and regulated sportsbooks as they are legally bound to protect the players. If you have any issues with a sportsbook you join, each state has a gaming or gambling commission in place to help you report any dodgy practices.
Any of the sportsbooks recommended at Bet Station have been tried, tested, and verified. Each sports betting site has a license to operate, something you can also independently verify on your state’s gambling commission website.
Best Betting Sites for Sport
We have already listed some of the best sportsbooks available in America, but which one reigns supreme for individual sports? Let’s say you just wanted to bet on football. Which sports betting sites cater to your needs the best? Below is a list of sports and the best sportsbooks if you are looking to wager on those events.
Football
If you are signing up for a sports betting site just to make football bets, you are in luck. Every one of the sportsbooks we have listed on this page offers a wide range of NFL bets. However, what if you wanted to bet on college football or the CFL? Where can you go to make those types of wagers? Typically, the best sports betting sites have multiple divisions available for each sport. That is certainly the case for football, as the best sites have the most choice.
DraftKings is one of the best sportsbooks available in the United States and it also has one of the best football sections for sports betting. You can choose between the NFL, CFL, and college football, most of which have an outstanding selection of wagers to consider. For college football, you can make same game parlays, team props, futures, moneylines, spreads, and many more. The same applies to the NFL as it has even more wagers to consider. Remember, each state has different laws regarding sports betting. Some states do not allow college sports betting.
One of FanDuel’s biggest strengths is how many exciting wagers you can make in the NFL. They have a fantastic variety of bets for each NFL game. Including who will make the most rushing yards in the game, who will score three or more touchdowns, and even the result of the first drive. At FanDuel, there is less of a choice for college football games, but still an exciting selection. You can make same game parlays on the alternate spread, the scorer of the first touchdown, or the total points scored by both teams in the first half.
Caesars Sportsbook is another that has NFL, NCAAF, and CFL games available for you to bet on. However, Caesars seems to focus more on the NFL than on the other divisions, meaning there are fewer wagers to consider for the other leagues. For college football, you can bet on the spread, moneyline, or over under for the entire game, the first half, or the first quarter. You can also make a series of player prop bets, including the number of interceptions, rushing yards, and passing yards.
Best Football Betting Sites
- DraftKings – Bet on NFL, CFL, and college football games.
- FanDuel – Great selection of football bets including futures.
- Caesars – Bet on NCAAF, NFL, and CFL games throughout the season.
Basketball
If you are a basketball fan, there are multiple sportsbooks with an outstanding selection of bets for you to consider. The best sports betting sites will allow you to bet on basketball leagues from all over the globe. This can include famous leagues like the Euroleague or more obscure divisions, such as the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild Karla. Below are just three of the best sportsbooks for all your basketball needs.
If you want a sports betting site with an enormous selection of basketball leagues, then PointsBet is the one for you. They offer over 20 different basketball leagues for you to bet on. Some of these leagues are full of interesting wagers and futures for you to place. Including the total points scored by each team, the winner of the first half, and whether there will be overtime. PointsBet also offers PointsBetting on most basketball games, allowing you to raise the stakes and your potential winnings.
With 18 basketball leagues to bet on, DraftKings has a fantastic collection. It has a different selection to PointsBet, including the England BBL league. What makes DraftKings special is the insightful statistics they offer for most games. You can see information about the team’s most recent head-to-head matches, each team’s records including the average points scored, the league standings for the division, plus the betting trends on DraftKings. PointsBet may have more leagues to bet on, but the information at DraftKings will help you make winning wagers; thanks to the stats.
With 17 basketball leagues, the offerings at FanDuel are just as good as the best basketball sports betting sites. They offer similar betting options to PointsBet, including results for the game, the first half, and the first quarter. FanDuel does not offer insightful statistics like DraftKings, so you will have to do your research.
Best Basketball Betting Sites
- Pointsbet – Bet on over 20 different basketball leagues worldwide.
- DraftKings – Enjoy 18 basketball leagues including fantastic stats.
- FanDuel – 17 Basketball leagues with brilliant live betting options.
Baseball
Most sports betting sites only have a few baseball leagues to bet on, similar to football. The three most popular leagues to bet on include the MLB, the Japanese NPB, and the Chinese CPBL. However, there are a few other sportsbooks in America that allow you to bet on other baseball leagues, such as the South Korean KBO. We listed the best three sports betting sites for baseball below.
There are four baseball leagues available at Caesars Sportsbook. They include MLB, NPB, KBO, and CPBL. If you want to stick with MLB bets, Caesars has hundreds for you to choose from. You can bet on the total RBIs, the winning margin, home runs, and even the result of the first innings. Caesars is excellent for live betting as they have detailed stats and 3D representations of the game. You can see the head-to-head results and where each team is in the division, plus a timeline of the match events.
Baseball betting at BetMGM is exceptional, especially for the MLB. They have a variety of exciting wagers and often have a promotion or bet boost waiting for you to enjoy. Recently, BetMGM has been offering players MLB same game parlay insurance up to $25. This is where you get your stake back if all your legs come true except for one in your MLB parlay.
Since most sportsbooks have the same leagues, we want to find sportsbooks that offer players something extra. At PointsBet, you can get a same game parlay boost every day you sign in. This is perfect for the MLB as they have an exceptional selection of wagers to make a same game parlay. They also offer PointsBetting. This is where you can win more if your bet is correct. If you bet on the Astros to beat the Mariners by one run and they win by five, they will 5x your stake.
Best Baseball Betting Sites
- Caesars – Bet on MLB, KBO, NPB, and CPBL games throughout the season.
- BetMGM – Enjoy lots of MLB promotions and outstanding live betting options.
- PointsBet – Same game parlay boosts for MLB games.

Withdrawal
The more payment methods a sportsbook has, the more ways you can withdraw your funds. Some services, like FanDuel, have tight security regarding withdrawals. They won’t let you withdraw to a PayPal account until you have deposited from that account. This may sound frustrating, but it provides an extra layer of protection between you and your funds. Say somebody gained access to your account and tried to withdraw your funds. They could only withdraw the funds into accounts you have deposited from, hopefully saving the day.
Promotions and Bonuses at the Best Betting Websites
Bet Station is a firm believer in promotions and bonuses, but what should you be on the lookout for? Almost every sports betting site will have a promotion. How can you tell the good ones from the bad? It’s important to establish a hierarchy of what types of promotions you enjoy the most. You could be the type of player who likes to make parlays, so boosts and parlay insurance could be a big part of your game. Or, if you would like to place wagers on events where you don’t use your cash, then you want to find free bets.
If you don’t know what promotions to expect or what will suit you, we have you covered. Below is a table full of the various promos and bonuses you will find at a typical sportsbook. If you are new to sports betting, it is worth giving these a read so you can avoid wasting time on promos that won’t yield great returns. Remember, bonuses are exactly that. It is an opportunity to get something for nothing.
Promo Type | How it Works | Pros | Cons |
---|---|---|---|
Free Bet | Your chance to bet on a sporting event without using your funds. | Completely free chance to win some actual cash. | Often have to bet a certain amount to get a free bet. |
Risk-Free Bet | They return a portion, or the entirety, of your stake as a free bet if your wager fails. Also known as insurance. | They cover your bet if it’s a loss, giving you a chance to win again. | You either receive one or a series of free bets to win some cash. |
Bet Boost | An opportunity to increase the returns from one of your wagers. Usually, you need to bet on a certain event or include a minimum number of legs in a parlay. | A great way to win more without having to spend more. | Usually quite restrictive on when or how you can use it. |
Cash Out | The chance for you to take the money and run. You can end your bet early for a reduced profit. | One of the few ways to guarantee you have made money. | Can be regretful if your bet comes true, and you cashed out for significantly less. |
Partial Cash Out | Few sportsbooks give you the chance to cash some of your bet out. This allows you to keep the bet alive to see if you can win more. | A unique bonus that can allow you to sleep peacefully with no bet regret. | Can decimate your returns if the bet comes true. |
Deposit Match | The sportsbook will match what you deposit up to a certain amount, giving you more funds to play with. This will either be one large free bet or a series of smaller ones. | This a great opportunity to make bets for free and maybe win some cash. | You can only withdraw money once you have played through all your free bets, and the free bets are time limited. |
No Deposit Bonus | A select few sportsbooks will give you something for nothing. This can be a free bet just for signing up, or a reward for opting into a competition. | Get something for free without having to make a deposit. | It is often quite low value, meaning you will need to bet big to win a sizable reward. |
Giveaway | A chance to enter a competition and win a prize. The prize can be game tickets, signed merchandise, or even a holiday. | Who doesn’t want free stuff? | Unlikely to win, as many people will enter. |
Risk-Free Bet
One of the most common welcome bonuses you will find is the risk-free bet. This welcome offer allows you to make a deposit, place a bet on a sporting event, and get your money back as a free bet if your wager loses. If your bet wins, then you have nothing to fear and nothing more to gain. The promotion only activates if your first wager loses, and you will get a free bet equal to that amount.
Some sportsbooks will give you one large free bet; others will divide it up into smaller amounts. You can only use a lump sum on one wager. Whereas, we can use the smaller free bets on various sporting events. Remember, you can always add your own money to increase the payout of a free bet.
Best Risk-Free Bet Sites
- Caesars – First bet is risk-free up to $1,250.
- BetMGM – The first bet you make is risk-free up to $1,000.
- Barstool - New player $1,000 bonus if your first bet loses.
Free Bet
The best promotion in our eyes is the free bet. Most sportsbooks give out free bets for us to use on any sporting fixture we desire. That means you can go for broke and try to land an extraordinary parlay. Or, you can play it safe and just turn your free bet into actual cash. If you are fortunate enough to win your free bet, you can only keep the winnings. The stake is free, so you do not get that back when the bet is over.
Sportsbooks will either give you a free bet from the promotions page, or you can earn them through reward points. Sports betting sites like PointsBet allow you to collect rewards points which you can exchange for free bets. It is one way to reward loyalty, plus it gives you something to look forward to once you have enough points.

Best for Sport
The number of sports available at each sports betting site varies depending on the state you are in. Some states allow residents to bet on events like the Academy Awards or eSports competitions. If you want to know which sports betting service offers the most choice in your state, check out our sports betting sites. This is where you can find a table listing every sport across every sportsbook available in the state.
- Bet365: In select states, Bet365 can offer players as many as 30 events to bet on. Unfortunately, the service is only currently available in four states.
- Unibet: At its best, there are 29 events to bet on at Unibet. However, the service is also not widely available across America as it is only accessible in five states.
- DraftKings: One of the most popular sports betting sites offers 23 markets in select regions. You can access the DraftKings Sportsbook from 21 different states.
Best for Fantasy Sport
There are two major fantasy sports sites to consider: FanDuel and DraftKings. For those of you who don’t know, DraftKings has contests with higher payouts than FanDuel. However, FanDuel is a great place to start, as it has contests reserved for beginners. They cap your first 50 fantasy sports attempts at a beginner level for FanDuel, meaning you are playing against people with a similar experience to you. Whichever service you decide to use is excellent, even if you are a beginner.
- DraftKings – Outstanding daily fantasy sports competitions with humongous prize pools.
- FanDuel – Perfect entry point for beginners to try fantasy sports.
Best Mobile App
All the sportsbooks we mentioned on this page have mobile apps, but which ones are the best? If your focus is to navigate and place bets quickly, then three sportsbooks come to mind. Caesars, DraftKings, and FanDuel provide excellent mobile apps for Android and iOS devices. Both Caesars and FanDuel are brilliant at browsing the sporting events taking place in the next 24 hours. The homepage has a complete list of football, hockey, and even tennis matches taking place around the world. It makes life easy for making parlays across multiple sports.
- Caesars – Widely available across most of the United States.
- FanDuel – Very easy-to-use mobile app for rookies and pros.
- DraftKings – One of the best mobile sportsbooks out there.
Best for Casino
If you live in one of the approved states for online casinos, like New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, then you have a great range of casinos to choose from. Some casinos specialize in live table games, others have outstanding slots. We figure the best casinos have a brilliant mix of both. BetMGM has over 2,400 slots available for you to enjoy right now. They also have over 130 table games and over 60 jackpot slots. DraftKings has over 900 casino games, including 77 table games and 51 jackpot slots. Either of these casinos is excellent, but BetMGM has over double the number of games than its closest rival.
- BetMGM – The king of the mobile casino with over 2,500 casino games at your fingertips.
- BetRivers - The second biggest mobile casino depending on which state you play from with 1,200 slots.
- DraftKings – Just under 1,000 casino games but still lots of fun.
Best for Slots
If you are a fan of slots, then there are multiple casinos for you to consider. BetMGM, with its library of over 2,400 slots, is a great place to start, but there are other casinos with a good-sized library as well. DraftKings has over 850 slots and BetRivers has around 1,200. FanDuel is still expanding its slot library, but it is well short of the competition.
- BetMGM – Over 2,400 slots with new additions regularly.
- DraftKings – A good mix of new and iconic slots.
- BetRivers - Massive slot library with iconic, classic, and Slingo games.
How to Create an Account on US Sportsbooks
Once you know the perfect sportsbook for you, it’s time to create an account. Although each sports betting site will have a slightly different registration system, they are all similar. All you need to do is follow the steps we outline below, and you will have a wonderful welcome bonus to help you get started.
Step 1
Visit a sports betting site or download an app to your mobile device. After this, you will enter some basic information. Usually, the first step to signing up requires you to enter a username, password, and personal email. The email is important, as they use it to confirm the validity of your account. It is also where they will send confirmations about your withdrawals and deposits, so make sure you put in the correct address.
Step 2
This step requires you to enter personal information. You will need to enter your first name, surname, date of birth, and your cell phone number. Most sportsbooks will also ask for the last four digits of your social security number. This is standard practice and is usually required by the state for verification.
Step 3
Finally, you will need to enter your address. Most sportsbooks have a search function, so you only need to enter a ZIP code or part of your address for it to appear. If it does not come up, enter it in manually. Some sportsbooks, like WynnBET, will allow you to put in a promo code at this point. If you sign up without a promo code, you could miss out on a bonus! Visit the promotions page first to see if there is a valid code and remember to read the terms and conditions.

Every state will have its own regulations, which is why one sportsbook may be available in one state but not another. How long does it take to withdraw my winnings?
Withdrawals at most sportsbooks take between 2 and 48 hours. However, this time can vary depending on the payment method you choose and the time of year. Withdrawing funds around big sporting events, such as the Super Bowl, may take longer than usual. Typically, you can expect to see the funds in your account within two days of approval from the sportsbook.
Do I pay taxes on my winnings?
Yes. Any money earned when gambling is taxable by the IRS. The amount you win is taxable and there is no way to avoid paying taxes on any winnings from gambling. Which Sportsbook has the best odds?
DraftKings is one of the best sportsbooks because it consistently has the best odds for you to enjoy. When compared to FanDuel, the odds at DraftKings were consistently higher. This can change as the crow flies, especially when FanDuel boosts odds for certain wagers. For the best results, monitor multiple sportsbooks.
Where can I find the best betting promotions?
The best promotions are at sportsbooks which change their promos regularly. BetMGM and BetRivers are fantastic for constantly adding and replacing promotions, giving players something new to enjoy every week.
